Friars Rest has been owned by the same family for twenty years and we take pride in the high standard of hospitality and comfort that we offer our guests. We pay particular attention to cleanliness and attention to detail.

Built on the site of an old monastery, Friars Rest is a comfortable and well furnished guest house. We are just a short 7-8 minute pleasant riverside walk from the city centre. All rooms are en suite and well equipped with remote colour TV/ Teletext and tea/coffee making facilities. Friars Rest has the benefit of an off road car park and on road parking permits.
